About User IDs

WSU Student, Applicant, Faculty and Staff Network IDs

WSU students, faculty, staff, and applicants for admission access services using a Network ID (NID). If you have been assigned a WSU ID number (the number on your student ID card or Cougar Card), you can set up your NID. Prospective students who have applied for admission receive a WSU ID number and should create a NID to check admission status.

WSU Friend IDs

Individuals who are not eligible for a Network ID access services using a Friend ID (which uses a person’s email address). Anyone may create their own Friend Account and access a limited number of services including electronic payments.

Other services, such as third party access to a student's official WSU records via myWSU Shared Info, or access to class collaboration sites or the wireless network, will need to be sponsored by someone at WSU.  Learn more
